How have the rookies fared so far in 2014?

The 2014 Formula 1 season is four races in and with the sport’s return to Europe just around the corner; I thought it would be a good time to take a look at how the rookies have fared so far.

Three fresh faces joined the grid this year. Kevin Magnussen replaced Sergio Perez at McLaren, Daniil Kvyat took over Daniel Ricciardo’s seat at Toro Rosso and Marcus Ericsson joined Caterham.

Video: A to Z of Formula 1

Red Bull Racing recently released a short video series on YouTube offering a unique view to the key aspects of Formula 1.
The clips connect the characteristics of the sport with each letter of the alphabet and feature Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo, Sebastien Buemi, Christian Horner and Adrian Newey.

Mattiacci faces the media

Ferrari's new team principal Marco Mattiacci faced the Formula 1 media for the first time today (Friday 18th April).

He was announced as Stefano Domenicali's replacement - following the Italian's resignation - on Monday, having previously worked as CEO of Ferrari North America.

New Ferrari team principal needs time - Alonso

Fernando Alonso says Ferrari's new team principal Marco Mattiacci needs time to settle into his new role, adding that it is too early to make a judgement on his promotion.

Stefano Domenicali's resignation from the Scuderia was announced on Monday, with Mattiacci immediately being confirmed as his replacement.
